Yes. From January 15th 2015, a free cloakroom service is available in order to protect the frescoes and rooms of the archaeological sites under the Park’s jurisdiction and to guarantee visitor safety. Bags, backpacks, luggage and cases with dimensions exceeding 30x30x15cm are NOT allowed on the sites of Pompeii, Oplontis, Stabiae and the Museum of Boscoreale. Visitors can leave their personal belongings in the cloakrooms available free of charge at all entrance points.
No. Outside the Archaeological Park there are many municipal parking spaces available at a cost, delineated by blue lines. There are also several private car parks.
Yes. In December 2016, the Archaeological Park opened ‘Pompeii for All’, an itinerary specifically designed for disabled visitors to Italy’s longest accessible pathway through an archaeological site.
Inside the Park you can take pictures and amateur videos only without the use of flash and tripod. If you wish to take professional videos and pictures, you need to ask for special authorisation.
You can purchase drinks at the bar/restaurant. However, please note that there are many drinking water fountains inside the excavation sites.

You can have something to eat in designated areas duly marked on the map. It is forbidden to eat outside these areas.
A map of the Archaeological Park is included in the entry ticket. You can collect it at the info point of Porta Marina and at the other entrances of the Archaeological Park.
Guided tours are not directly organised by the Park, but qualified guides from the Campania Region are available at the Archaeological Park entrance. You can either have a private guide or join a pre-existing group.
The heritage of the Archaeological Park is impressive and covers a total of 44 hectares. For this reason, you need a minimum of 2-3 hours to visit the Park. There are many types of itineraries depending on your time availability.
