Opening exhibition “The proto-historic village of Longola” at the Antiquarium of Boscoreale
Today the opening of the exhibition "The proto-historic village of Longola" (Poggiomarino) at the Antiquarium of Boscoreale. The settlement was discovered in 2000, during the construction of Middle Sarno purification plant, and excavations conducted by the Archaeological Superintendence of Pompeii (today Archaeological Park of Pompeii), have brought to light a perifluvial settlement on islets, populated from the Middle Bronze Age until the 6th century B.C. The protohistoric site at Longola, Poggiomarino, is located in the upper Sarno valley, just over ten kilometres east of Pompeii.
