This itinerary explores some of the main public and civic sites of the ancient city of Pompeii.

ITINERARY

Porta Marina, Via Marina, Civil Forum, Macellum (casts), Forum Baths, House of the Tragic Poet (Cave Canem), Via della Fortuna-Vicolo dei Vettii, House of the Vettii, Vicolo di Mercurio-Via del Vesuvio, intersection of Via Stabiana and Via dell’Abbondanza.

Departures from Porta Marina Superiore: 9:30 am; 10:30 am; 11:30 am; 12:30 pm; 2:30 pm; 3:30 pm

Groups of 20 people (maximum 25) with radio guide; cost per participant: 8 euros. Free admission for children under 10.

The duration of the educational tours at each stop is adjusted based on the importance of the location and the number of visitors present. At the end of the tour (at the intersection of Via Stabiana and Via dell’Abbondanza), participants will be given directions to navigate the city, explore independently, or choose to exit onto Viale delle Ginestre.
